Here’s what you need to know for your viewing this weekend:
The Great is a costumed period comedy. And if that sounds like the sort of thing that might put you to sleep, still give this one a look. I think you’ll be surprised at how laugh out-loud funny it is. The Great is tremendously dirty and wild. I loved it.
A lot of you will probably check out The Lovebirds on Netflix this weekend. I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s apparently a predictable, by the numbers comedy. Maybe it’s the comfort TV you need this week. I sure do.
There’s a quarantine special episode of Mythic Quest on Apple TV+ debuting today. I’m curious, but my tolerance for quarantine-themed TV peaked weeks ago. I do like this show, though.
Homecoming is back for season 2 on Amazon Prime Video. The first season of the show was stellar. Really incredible TV. The creative team have largely moved on, so don’t expect it to be more of the same. But… maybe they’ll surprise us?
If you enjoy the Always Be Watching newsletter, I’d appreciate it if you could chip in a few bucks each month/year to keep this thing going.
