If, like me, you’d forgotten that there was a TV series based on the Scream movies, you might be surprised by the news that the show is back for a third season… despite it not having been on for a few years.
The new show has moved from MTV to VH1 in the US and instead of being a 6-episode run, it is being converted into a 3-night mini-series event. Which makes sense to me. Unlike previous seasons of the show where, for legal reasons, the ghost face mask couldn’t be used on the show… it’s back.

My two moments of TV joy this week was watching Big Little Lies (which is so magnetic - every episode has me watching fully engaged with what’s happening on screen in a way I haven’t felt since Mad Men) and I’ve also been rewatching episodes of 90s legal drama The Practice (which still holds up very well - if US network TV was this good still, I’d likely be watching more of it).
The thing both shows have in common is writer David E Kelley. With Kelley dominating so much of my viewing this week, I was very excited this morning to hear that Kelley is coming back to a weekly lawyer drama with his TV adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer given a series commitment by A+E.
Tied in with the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon, HBO are dusting off its fantastic mini-series From The Earth To The Moon to air on its TV networks and will be added to its on-demand streaming libraries.

Amy Seimetz is working on a TV series prequel to the Leo DiCaprio film The Beach.
Director Danny Boyle:
“The Beach may come back,” Boyle said. “[Seimetz] has taken The Beach and made a prequel for television. It’s the same character but it’s set now, so 20 years later—it’s a bit of a headfuck.” He added, “It’s intriguing when you see it. I’ve read the first two scripts.”

Indiewire has asked critics what their favourite teen drama is. And, honestly, I found the responses a little bit dull.
So, I’m putting it to you - what are your favourite teen dramas…. and why? Let me know over at the Always Be Watching Facebook group.
Personally, I can’t go past Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.
